Here come the chords in italian notation!

Following the very precious reporting of several loyal users of FaDiesis, we decided to implement the possibility to choose in which notation show the chords of the scores.

As you well know, the chords can be represented symbolically in two ways fundamentally:

  • as medieval notation (or international notation, since mainly used by the Anglo-Saxon world) composed of "A, B, C, D, E, F, G";
  • or as Italian notation composed of "Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si".

Not everyone can easily read the international notation (especially for the Italians, which is the native population of FaDiesis), so the possibility of showing the chords of the score both in Italian and international notation has been added. Optionally. Just use the practical buttons in the side toolbar, as you are already used to do.

The function is activated by pressing the "Do Re" button in the toolbar on the left side of the score page. It does not modify the content of scores, but only their visualization, which means that it works freely both on your personal scores, on verified scores of FaDiesis, and on searches. You can switch between visualizations at any time.

Even if you edit a score, it does not matter if you do it using one notation or the other, you can switch between them freely at any time.

Moreover, the visualization with Italian chords also acts on the prints, so you can have your prints with the Italian notation now.

Finally we remind you that the function is remembered within the session, so it will not be necessary to activate it every time a score is displayed.

We hope you enjoy this addition, we are particularly proud of it, as it is a choice that you really do not see very often around! Let us know what you think about it on the feedback page.
