Gianluca Grignani (Milan, April 7, 1972) is an Italian singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer.
Among the leading songwriters and musicians of his generation, in his over 25-year career he has received numerous awards and recognitions, among others, the Telegatto, the Grolla d'oro and a nomination for the Nastri d'argento for the soundtrack of the film Che it will become of us, the Mia Martini Award, the Venice Music Awards for best male artist, the Barocco Award, three Lunezia Awards for the musical-literary value of his albums, two RTL 102.5 Awards, one for the best album (Cammina nel sole ) and one for his career, the Targa Mei Speciale and two SIAE Awards. Furthermore, The plastic factory was decreed, by a survey in Rolling Stone magazine, the best Italian rock song.
He has sold a total of about 5 million records certified by FIMI, for which he has obtained a double diamond disc, various platinum discs and gold discs. Thanks to his works, described by critics as ''outside the box'', he is considered one of the pillars of Italian rock music.
Both for his music and for the poetics of his lyrics, he has earned the nickname of cursed poet. In addition to that, he is nicknamed Joker, from the song of the same name from the album Popcorn Fields.
